Working together as a team
We don’t have designated “fee earners” at Juno, because the work is done by everyone in the team. Instead, we’re organised in teams of 6-8 people who collectively share the responsibility for their clients and cases.
Every team has daily check-ins (video calls) to discuss their live cases, and then a steady stream of contact throughout the day on our internal chat platform, so anyone can ask for help and get an answer right away.
Team working means we can all go on vacation (or take a sick day to recover from illness) without worrying about who will answer urgent emails or keep things moving.
You don’t have to do everything
At Juno our conveyancers focus on the legal work. Each conveyancing transaction is allocated to a dedicated team of lawyers and paralegals, who handle all the legal work from instruction to pre-exchange, including title checks, raising enquiries and reporting to clients.
Cases are handed over to a dedicated team for exchange, completion and post-completion, and we also have specialist teams for anti money laundering/compliance, client support, sales, estate agent partnerships, and more.
People often move from one team to another, taking on new challenges and expanding their skills and knowledge. And when they do, they’ll always be given the right training and support, supported by their new colleagues to achieve their best work, whatever they’re doing at Juno.
Ask for help early and often
Nobody knows everything, but somebody else in your team probably does know the answer (or how to get one).
At Juno, we encourage everyone to ask for help, as soon as they feel like they don’t know what to do.
We have a standard way of asking questions - describe the problem, say whether it’s urgent, give the necessary context, and explain your best guess on how to solve it. And we ask everyone to ask for help from their team, unless it’s a private matter, so that everyone can benefit from the answer. It builds trust among team members, and reminds us all that asking for help is a sign of strength and maturity.
